# of hours I played here: 8+ hours
I played $1-2 No Limit, $3-6 Limit
Overall Rating: 3.5 I had a lot of fun at this place. Conveniently located right inside the lobby, close to the entrance, it attracted all kindsof players (although mainly the looser-passive types).
Soft Competition Rating: 4.0 I played here pretty much every day during my weekstay in Vegas, and found there was a LOT of loose action late at night ESPECIALLY on the weekends. In the 3/6 limit game it was typical to see 6-7 players seeing a flop and about 3-4 players at the showdown. If you have a lot of patience and can take bad beats (I saw aces and cowboys get cracked on numerous occasions), this is a really juicy game, especially on a Saturday night.
Room Condition Rating: 3.5 Nothing special here. Fairly small room, about 9 tables now, I think. While it is conveniently located it's also very noisy, as it's right next to the craps and roulette tables.
Aggression Rating: 3.5 There was typically at least one aggressive player atany table. At the NL tables, especially at night, expect to be raised anywhere from 5x to 10x the blind about every other hand pre-flop.
Player Mix Rating: 4.5 At every table I sat down, there was: 1. One player of at least the same or better skill than me. 2. One drunk player. 3. A couple old timers (loose-passive) 4. One overly aggressive player. 5. At least 2 calling stations. There was always a nice mix of dead serious players, players with over-inflated egos, and people who were there just to have a good time. It was a good atmosphere.
Dealer's Rating: 3.5 Dealers were mainly expedient and friendly. Nothing exceptional, but they maintained a good pace and were helpful.
Cocktail Service Rating: 3.5 Generally nothing spectacular to look at, butalthough they didn't make rounds very often, they were very quick to deliver the orders (probably thanks to the proximity of the bar).
Management Rating: 3.5 Again, nothing exceptional, but there were never anyserious problems, and both cash games and tournaments seemed to run smoothly, so no problems either.
Comp. Offered Rating: 3.5 I thought the comp system was satisfactory. The highhanded jackpot generally got up to about $500 for quads, $700 or so for straight flushes and $2500 for royals. Pretty much every time i was there someone won something. There is no bad beat jackpot, though, which is somewhat disappointing.
