This is a nice room, the quiet atmosphere and smoke free environment are a rarity. The competition is a good mix and the dealers and management are friendly and professional.
Competition Rating: 3.5
Aggressiveness Rating: 3
Player Mix: 3.5
Good mix of players at the $1/$2 table, one local who thought he was better than everyone else, but who easily went on tilt and a variety of tourists. The action was pretty good, not a lot of big pre-flop raises but a lot of hands with $7 bet before the flop. Generally 4-5 players seeing the flop and probably below average play post flop, meaning the players didn’t seem to play as well post flop, so if you hit a flop, you could make some money.
Room Condition: 4
Harrahs poker room is nice, it is fully enclosed with glass windows surrounding it. This does make for a quiet room and completely smoke free. The room is smaller than you would expect for the flagship casino of the World Series of Poker, but nice. There are 10 regular TVs scattered throughout the room and 4 big screens and 1 giant screen located on one wall. This would be a great place to watch a game and play poker, if you get the right seat. Most of the seats have your back facing the giant and big screens.
Dealer Rating: 3.5
The dealers were a typical mix, some friendly and outgoing and some not. Most ran the games very well and few mistakes were made.
Cocktail Service: 1.5
The cocktail service was very slow and not very friendly.
Management Rating: 3.5
Didn’t have much interaction with the management, nor did we see them have to make any decisions, but they were polite, friendly and professional.
Comps: 3
