Detailed Editor's Review Ratings Below:

General Experience Playing Here: 3

I enjoy playing at Green Valley Ranch, the room is nice and there are usually several no limit games to choose from. (I know of one Saturday night when 12 of their 14 tables were dealing no limit games). It is not on the Strip but it is a short drive from the strip-10 minutes. It is located right off of I-215 at the Green Valley exit.

The management is certainly below standard and the cocktail service is a little slow, but the games and dealers are good.

Competition Rating: 3.5
Aggressiveness Rating: 3
Player Mix: 3.5

A lot of locals obviously at Green Valley Ranch, which is typical of most of the Station Casinos. This does not necessarily translate to tough players though, typically the $1/$2 no limit games have a good amount of weak players. The other plus is that there are typically several no limit games going, so if the game you are in is not to your liking you can request a transfer.

Room Condition: 4

This is a very nice room, with 14 tables that are not really crowded. There are plenty of TVs in the room, that sports enthusiasts will enjoy. During the day, at least a couple of the TVs are usually tuned into the stock market. The chairs are comfortable, the tables are nice, although the wooden rail that surrounds the table for you to place your chips on is poorly designed-it is not flush to the felt.

Dealer Rating: 3

The dealers at Green Valley are for the most part very experienced. This is good from a game experience but there are a couple that have been in the business for quite a while and appear to be jaded.

Cocktail Service: 2.5

The service is not up to par as far as speed. The drinks are good and the waitresses are pretty and friendly.

Management Rating: 1.5

The management during day shift is not very friendly and although I can’t say for sure, it did appear to me that on at least two occasions a player was seated ahead of someone that came in before them. With a paper list system this could easily happen, although it shouldn’t.

Comps: 3

Standard $1/hr for play and linked to Station Casinos Jumbo Bad Beat jackpot.
