General Experience Playing Here 4
The fact that the room appears to be filled with a lot of players willing to give their money away and the fact that with a couple of exceptions the dealers were good, more than made up for the lack of cocktail service and the busy hustle and bustle of the room.
If you are looking for a lot of action, the Flamingo Hilton is worth a look, particularly on a weekend night.
I also hit a high hand-quad aces, with a queen kicker which was worth $200 that I had to pick up the next morning. The Flamingo pays out anywhere from 3-20+ highest hands of the day. The number of hands paid out each day is based on the total amount raked for the 24 period. The fact that the room appears to be filled with a lot of players willing to give their money away and the fact that with a couple of exceptions the dealers were good, more than made up for the lack of cocktail service and the busy hustle and bustle of the room.

Competition Rating: 4.5
Aggressiveness Rating: 4
Player Mix: 4
Played $1/$2 No Limit on a Friday evening, the table was full of tourists and was very aggressive. Usually 6-7 callers pre-flop and almost every hand ended in a showdown, very big pots and lots of money being pushed back and forth around the table. Most of the players over-valued their hands and had a hard time getting away from losing hands.
Upon a cursory review of the other tables going that evening, (the room was full-all 15 tables were occupied with 4 no-limit games and 11 limit games-mostly $2/$4), it appeared that most of the tables were pretty loose and full of tourists out to have a good time.
Room Condition: 3
There are 15 tables after a recent expansion. The room itself is nothing spectacular, it is in a semi-blocked off area of the casino, there are a few TVs but not viewable from a lot of seats. The tables are pretty close together and it is sometimes tough to get in and out of the room as there is a lot of activity and not a lot of open space to maneuver in.
Rumor has it that the room is moving in the next few months-no indication as to where but any move should be an improvement.
The tables were in good condition as were the chairs but nothing out of the ordinary.
Dealer Rating: 3
The dealers definitely were a mixed batch, one dealer was possibly the fastest I have ever seen and one was among the slowest I have ever seen. Most of the dealers were able to control the game, but several mistakes were made.
Cocktail Service: 1.5
The cocktail service was not very good. Granted it was a very busy Friday night but they were not equipped to handle the busy room. Often times we went almost an hour without seeing a cocktail waitress and when one did come they weren’t in a very good mood.
Management Rating: 3.5
Management did a pretty good job, with handling the heavy traffic. They kept the games filled and handled disputes quickly. They had a pretty low tolerance for problem players, as I saw two players that were asked to leave-although in a very professional way.
Comps: 0
No comp system in place at all.
