General Experience Playing Here: 1.5 The Excalibur Poker Room is a nice looking room with lots of space between the tables, but there was not much talking between the players when we played here. We didn't feel this room had the atmosphere of a Poker Room, there was no feeling of comfort. We did not find it a very nice place to play, no character at all. The most exciting thing about the room was the opportunity to win money spinning a wheel. So if you had pocket A's and you lost the hand on them, you could spin this wheel and win up to $100. There was no Bad Beat Jackpot. Soft Competition:4.5 Aggressiveness: 3 The tables at the Excalibur were very loose as the players would call with anything. This made it difficult to get a read on your table. We noticed mostly visitors playing at the tables with just a few locals. It seemed the players were there to gamble their money and play hands. They were not patient at all. The best game we found was at the $2-6 Limit table. Here you could bet up to $6 at any time and raise from there. We found you could not bluff at these tables at all because you would always be called. To win here, you have to play tight. Room Condition: 3 This is a new Poker Room so it is very clean and the tables are well spread out. The room is large, wide open and it was nice to have washrooms right in the room instead of having to leave the Poker Room to get to a washroom. Dealer Performance: 3 Dealer's at the Excalibur played the game quite well. They tried to keep the game at a good pace but we noticed it seemed somewhat difficult because there were alot of inexperienced players. Cocktail Service: 2 We were not impressed with the Excalibur Cocktail waitresses. It was hard to get a drink as they did not come around that often. When they did come around and take your order, they took a long time coming back to give you your drink. We would suggest you order two drinks so you don't have to wait. Management Rating: 2 Management of the room was somewhat slow. The Management Staff were slow to seat someone at a table after a seat was freed up. They didn't seem to hurry either when there were people waiting for a seat.
