Detailed Editor's Review Ratings below:
General Experience Playing Here: 2.5
This was a hard experience to rate because the competition was on the easy side and there was money to be made on this visit, but the construction noise, falsely advertised tournament (in our opinion and as discussed below) and the management rudeness overshadowed that.We are rating our experience lower because we figure the construction and management is going to be there for a while, but there is no guarantee that the competition won’t be tougher next time.
We will give this room another chance, maybe after the construction is over.

Played $1/$2 No Limit, the table was full of not very good players. If this is any indication of the type of players that frequent the Aladdin, then there is definetly money to be made playing here. Unfortunately, the game broke up after about an hour of play, because most of the players were entered in the 1pm tournament. (That may explain some of the weakness in the players, as cash games are different than tournaments)
We decided to give the tournament a chance, since we had won some money and the tournament was supposedly a freeze-out tournament, which I prefer over re-buy tournaments. We were a little surprised when a player at my table busted out and immediately went to the counter and in a matter of minutes was back at our table. We asked the manager about this, since the tournament was advertised as a freeze-out and this play obviously re-bought into the tournament. The manager was a little rude and explained that the player had not re-bought but had re-entered which was allowed if you busted out in the first half hour. This is really only semantics to me, if a person busts out and is able to get more chips and continue in the tournament, that is not a freeze out no matter how you want to address it.
The freeze out confusion aside, the tournament was well ran and the blind structure was good. The players weren’t any better at the tournament than in the cash game. We managed to finish in 6th place and made $192, so it was a good day.
Room Condition: 2
There are 12 games in the room and they are in good/new condition, the seats are comfortable. The room is enclosed which is nice but it is a little hard to find. The casino is undergoing a transition to being re-branded as Planet Hollywood. There is a lot of construction going on and it was very noisy the day We were there. Also because of the construction, the closest bathroom was a long hike. There was only one big screen TV in the room. Supposedly, once the conversion to Planet Hollywood is complete the poker room will be moved to a specially designed location.
Dealer Rating: 3.5
The dealers were good and friendly with no noticeable mistakes.
Management Rating: 2.5
We were not impressed with the way my inquiry about the freeze out structure of the tournament was handled, but the tournament was run in a very professional manner.
